The formula for calculating the volume of a capsule is as follows:

Vc=pi∗r2∗((4/3)∗r+a)

Where:

• Vc​ is the volume of the capsule.

• $r$ is the radius of the capsule (in your case, in inches).
• $a$ is the length of the side of the capsule (in your case, also in inches).

This formula assumes that the capsule has a cylindrical body with two hemispherical ends, and it calculates the total volume of the capsule by adding the volumes of these three components together. The cylindrical body’s volume is given by π⋅r2⋅a, and the two hemispheres have a combined volume of  3/4​⋅π⋅r3, where $r$ is the radius of the hemispheres.

By adding these three volumes together, you can determine the total volume of the capsule.
